Sophia Heidrich, advocacy director for Mountain Area Preservation, said during public comment, “We are supportive of this use in this location but we want it to be consistent with the Railyard Master Plan and we don’t think it’s quite there yet … Our biggest concerns center on the mass and scale of the building and the failed attempt to achieve a seamless transition from downtown Truckee to the Railyard.” She mentioned height, transition, and shading as key concerns.
