Become a Monthly Donor

By making an automatic tax-deductible gift each month, you can help Mountain Area Preservation preserve the Truckee-Tahoe region's mountain character and natural environment for present and future generations, through on-going membership support! Not only will your donation make a positive impact, it will help support MAP's continued environmental advocacy work. All monthly donors will receive MAP’s limited edition membership gift for the year.

Honor a Loved One

A donation to MAP is a beautiful way to commemorate a loved one or acknowledge family and friends. Click here to make an honorary or memorial gift. Click here to learn more.

Planned Giving

To ensure that our mountain character and natural environment are protected for future generations, consider including MAP in your will, retirement or estate planning. For more information about Planned Giving, including IRA disbursements, please contact Alexis Ollar, MAP Executive Director at alexis@mapf.org or 530-582-6751.

Matching Gifts

Double your impact with a matching gift. Did you know that only one in ten donors take advantage of matching programs offered by their employers? Click here to see if your company has a corporate matching program. Click here to check for company matching.

Donate Stocks

By donating stocks or mutual fund shares, you can support MAP and gain a substantial tax advantage. In a charitable giving fund, the donation can be invested and potentially grow over time, tax-free, which would result in a greater total amount than the current value. We recommend that you consult a tax or financial advisor to learn more about this type of giving. If you are interested in donating stocks, please contact Alexis Ollar, MAP Executive Director at alexis@mapf.org or 530-582-6751.

Volunteer with MAP

Volunteering is a great way to give back while meeting new people, learning new skills and protecting our local environment and community! Click here to learn more about volunteering for MAP.
