We get it. Land use planning and attending public hearings is intimidating. The resources below are intended to make the process a little less scary. Learn different strategies to get engaged, why it’s important, and how to participate effectively in the public process.


How to Participate - Jurisdiction by Jurisdiction

Tahoe Regional Planning Agency

  • Meeting agendas posted 7 days before the meeting takes place.

  • Advisory Planning Commission: 2nd Wednesday of the month, usually at 9:30 am at 128 Market Street in Stateline, NV or online via Zoom.

  • Governing Board: 4th Wednesday of the month, usually at 9:30 am at 128 Market Street in Stateline, NV or online via Zoom.

  • Submit written public comments to: publiccomment@trpa.gov

    • Written comments due at 4:00 pm the day before the meeting.

  • Contact the TRPA Advisory Board Commissioners and Governing Board Members.

Town of Truckee

  • Planning Commission: 3rd Tuesday of the month at 5:00 pm at Truckee Town Hall.
