Open Space helps to preserve natural resources, create wildlife refuge and recreation opportunties. By protecting open space we are preserving the unique landscapes of Truckee-Tahoe for present and future generations.

Development decisions can affect our health, how we commute, housing choices, job opportunities, availability of open space, local economy, property values and more. Where and how we build is important.
ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE
Communities of color are disproportionately affected by poor land use planning decisions, climate change, historical and ongoing pollution and other environmental hazards.
