TBAP Planning Commission Hearing

TBAP Planning Commission Hearing

The Tahoe Basin Area Plan Amendments (TBAP) are back in front of the Placer County Planning Commission this Thursday, August 10th, at 11:00 a.m., at North Tahoe Events Center in Kings Beach. The TBAP Amendments were first introduced to the public in the Fall of 2022 to make redevelopment and housing more accessible and flexible in North Lake Tahoe.

Join MAP in requesting a revised Environmental Impact Report / Environmental Impact Statement for the TBAP Amendments! Since December, we have waited for the addendum released last week, which is 16 whooping pages of opinions, to tell the community that no new impacts will be created with the proposed changes.
Not only is the conclusion shocking but Tahoe is not stuck in a time bubble of 2016, which is what the environmental analysis depends on, data and studies from seven years ago. Wake up, Tahoe’s conditions with population, visitors, traffic, and fire hazards have changed, in fact, they have become much worse, and those conditions must be considered for the TBAP Amendments. Attend in person or via Zoom and help MAP stand up for Tahoe.
